As the US recovers from yet another gun death – Voice star Christina Grimmie was gunned down in Florida yesterday by a deranged fan – efforts will once again be focused on reducing the horrific gun fatality statistics in the country.
This week Kim donned the traditional orange colour for ‘Gun Violence Awareness Day’ and posted selfies to her fans to raise public attention.
The idea behind the campaign is for people to wear bright colours to remember the victims of gun violence. Comedian Amy Schumer also posted a picture, but she’s nowhere near as hot so we’ll not bother showing you that one.
Christina Grimmie’s family released this statement following the tragic death:
“It is with a heavy heart that we can confirm that Christina has passed and went home to be with the Lord.
She was shot at her show in Orlando and, unfortunately, didn’t survive the gun shot wounds.
We ask at this time that you respect the privacy of her family and friends in their time of mourning.
