Oh boo hoo! Boyband fans are weeping into their pretty little pop-socks after claims that One Direction will take a break from music after their fifth album.
The group will reportedly take a pause next year after performing a number of live gigs to promote their new release, which is due out in November.
According to The Sun newspaper in London, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan will then take time off to ‘consider what to do next.’
1D fans are already in a spin after news of Zayn Malik’s departure dropped like a steaming turd last March.
The latest claims have led to speculation that this may herald the end for the band – although a spokesman has dismissed the claims as being without fact. Apparently Simon Cowell is confident that they have a long-term future together.
However a music insider told The Sun: “The reality is that once a boyband takes a break, it’s often the beginning of the end. They are adults now and they have their own interests.”
