Legendary rocker Kurt Cobain is making headlines 20 years after his death.
In early April, on the 20th anniversary of his passing, Seattle police released more photos from the scene of Cobain’s death, which they have still determined a suicide. More recently, they also released a note found in Cobain’s wallet, mocking his wedding vows to musician Courtney Love.

The note was originally believed to have been written by Cobain, but as the AP reports, the note was actually written by Love, herself.
It says, “Do you Kurt Cobain take Courtney Michelle Love to be your Lawful Shredded wife, even when she’s a bitch with zits and siphoning all yr money for doping and whoring,” which upon first reading may seem startling, but Seattle author Charles R. Cross maintains that the grunge couple were known for writing sarcastic notes to each other, and that the note is definitely in Courtney’s handwriting.

Cross has written several books on Cobain, including his most notable, the biography Heavier Than Heaven. He said that Love penned the note before the couples wedding in 1991.
