Singer Lily Allen will open her heart about the loss of her baby boy during an emotional interview on The Jonathan Ross Show this weekend.
The 29-year-old star – who lost the child through stillbirth at six months into her pregnancy in 2010 – revealed that the love and support of her partner Sam Cooper helped her through the ordeal.
Speaking on the pre-recorded show, which will air on Saturday night, Lily tells Ross: “I think it’s difficult for anybody regardless of what world they live in and actually what I took home from that experience was … even though it was the most unfortunate thing that can ever happen to a person, I was very fortunate in the sense that I have a loving partner to go home and share that experience with.
“There are many women – (there are) 17 stillbirths in the UK every day – that go home and they don’t have that support, they have to go home and deal with that on their own so I am kind of in a bit of a, since that happened, in a count my blessings scenario rather than feel sorry for myself.”
Lily and builder Sam were married in Gloucestershire in 2011. Lily, who is wearing a new shade of hair colour in the interview, also speaks about her current life. You can watch the full interview with via FilmOn.com on ITV1 (below) at 9:45pm UK-time on Saturday.
